Jiang Named 2026 Alabama Water Institute Faculty Fellow

Dr. Peishi Jiang, assistant professor in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, has been named a 2026 Alabama Water Institute faculty fellow under the Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology.

The fellowship will span a tenure of three academic years from August 2026 to August 2029. While promoting the institutes’missions at both the local and national levels, Jiang will receive an annual stipend of $7,500.

His research focuses on analyzing watershed systems through data-driven methods and hybrid physics-AI approaches.
